The Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun is a PGA Tour tournament which was played for the first time in 2007. It is the first PGA Tour event to be played in Mexico this decade. The tournament is played the same week as the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. It is a counting event for the FedEx Cup, but like other alternate events it will only count for half points.Mexico's most successful and decorated professional golfer, Lorena Ochoa, will participate in the Mayakoba Golf Classic's Wednesday Pro-Am, as Mexico's Only PGA TOUR Event celebrates its fifth anniversary February 20-26, 2012.Continue...
