German Tennis Championships Betting OddsTennis Betting Online: The German Tennis Championship in Hamburg, Germany, will be the site of some exciting tennis, and the catalyst for some intriguing tennis betting odds. With some of the usual top names not in the field this year, this will give some lesser known players the chance to rise up and make a name for themselves.

After Roger Federer claimed four title in the span of six years, his dominance was put to an end by Rafael Nadal in 2008. In 2009, neither Nadal nor Federer participated, leaving the door open for Nikolay Davydenko to take home the title. In 2010, Nadal and Federer again sat out, but Davydenko was taken down in the third round by the young, unranked Andrey Golubev, who eventually went on to win the title at just the tender age of 22.

Played on clay, the German Tennis Championship is a chance for young players like Golubev to experience winning on the biggest stage.

This year, Nadal and Federer will both be elsewhere, but Andrey Golubev will be back to defend his crown, while Nikolay Davydenko, the probable favorite going in, will be back looking for vengeance on the young Frenchman.

When weighing your tennis betting odds, it is easy to get caught up in the seeding, and putting all your money down on one of the favorites. Last year showed it will take more research and dedication if you hope to bring home the big bucks.

Tune in as some of the most exciting young tennis players in the game travel to Hamburg to put their bodies on the line in pursuit of a championship. Use Bookmaker’s tennis betting odds, and look forward to a huge payout.

2011 International German Open Hamburg Winner - Gilles Simon wins the Hamburg title

Frenchman Gilles Simon won his ninth ATP World Tour title on Sunday and second of the season as he rallied past World No. 14 Nicolas Almagro with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 scorline in the final of the German Tennis Championships 2011, an ATP 500 Event being played here in Hamburg.

With this feat, Simon also became the first Frenchman to clinch this title since Henri Leconte won it 25 years ago. This is second ATP title for the Frenchman, who triumphed at the Medibank International Sydney tournament in January.

Simon won the first set against Almagro after breaking him in the fifth game, but failed to maintain the momentum and lost the second-set. The Frenchman brought in his A-game at the right time in the final set and emerged victorious.
