Juan Martin del Petro is currently ranked No. 13, and Andy Roddick is currently No. 14 in the world. David Nalbandian is ranked only No. 64 in the world, but he has had good success at this tournament in the past. Nalbandian has finished as the runner-up at the Swiss Indoors 2003, 2004 and 2008. He has never won the tournament, but did go five sets against Jin Novak in 2004.
