Mexico World Cup Betting OddsFIFA World Cup Betting: For a nation that is as proud of its soccer prowess as any in the world, it is a bit surprising to think that Mexico has never advanced beyond the quarterfinals of the World Cup. However, they're going to be a popular choice to do some damage in 2010 World Cup betting action in South Africa thanks to a relatively easy group and what could be a very, very favorable draw to the quarters.

Qualifying out of CONCACAF has never been something that the Mexicans have struggled with, and this year was no exception. Save some narrow tussles with the United States, it was clear that Mexico was the superior club in all of its qualifying efforts, and as a result, yet another World Cup appearance is in store.

Keep a very close eye of F Cuauhtémoc Blanco. He came out of retirement just for the purposes of this World Cup on a Mexican side that badly needed more striker options. Blanco has already scored 35 goals internationally in 112 games. This is a very, very young set of players for the red, white, and green, and Blanco is going to be the man that has to keep it all together for the team to succeed.

Mexico may be a +8000 longshot on the World Cup lines, but that doesn't mean that this still isn't a dangerous team. It isn't exactly a cakewalk to the second round, especially if by chance the team slips up and doesn't get anything out of the opening match of this tournament against South Africa. Getting the Mexicans at even odds to advance and +300 to win Group A seems like a fantastic price, though.
