Brazil World Cup Betting OddsFIFA World Cup Betting: As the only five-time champions of this event, it is understandable why the Brazilians are the subjects of many World Cup predictions for this year's championship in South Africa. The yellow and green most recently won this event in 2002 in South Korea, and 2006's failure in the quarterfinals marked the first time in 12 years that Brazil had failed to reach the final of this event.

Qualification was a breeze for Brazil, as it finished atop the South American pool. However, seven draws and two defeats didn't make the fans in Rio de Janeiro happy to say the least. The team was booed off of the field in three scoreless draws at home, two of which came to teams that didn't even qualify for the World Cup.

Perhaps as a result of that and perhaps out of the fact that the team has to be worried about the 2014 World cup that will be played in their home land, the Brazilians have elected not to bring some familiar names with them to South Africa. Familiar faces such as Ronaldo and Ronaldinho are being left at home. That is going to open up the squad to newer names such as F Luis Fabiano, who scored nine goals in qualifying for the World Cup.

Even though Brazil is playing in the "Group of Death" with both Ivory Coast and Portugal, there is still a sense that this is going to be an easy march to the second round for it. The Brazilians have qualified for every second round since 1966, and they are -175 to capture the Group G crown as well. This is the favorite to win it all on the World Cup betting lines, as Brazil is +450.
