Fifty-one different nations competed to qualify into the Euro 2012. The teams that will be joining Poland and Ukraine are Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Ireland, Russia, Spain and Sweden. Spain is the defending champion in this event. The teams are split up into four different groups.

Ukraine, Poland, Spain and the Netherlands are in Pot 1, Germany, Italy, England and Russia are in Pot 2, Croatia, Greece, Portugal and Sweden are in Pot 3 and Denmark, France, Czech Republic and Ireland are in Pot 4. The top-2 teams from each pot will advance to the quarterfinals, with the bottom two eliminated. Those eight teams will move to the knockout stage, a single-elimination tournament to determine the champion. The winner of each pot will play a runner-up from another pot.

The final match will take place on July 1st at Olympic Stadium in Kiev. Spain will hope to get there again and defend its title while there are several other teams looking to knock it off the perch in soccer betting.
