European Soccer Betting Odds: If you're looking for the best advice to beat the European soccer odds, you've certainly come to the right place. Here at Bookmaker sportsbook, we're taking a look at the 2011-12 La Liga season, which begins on August 21. The 2011-12 La Liga begins on August 21. Barcelona is the defending champion after capturing their 21st overall and third straight title in 2011. Barcelona finished last season with a very impressive record of 30-2-6, capturing the La Liga title with 96 points. It narrowly beat out fellow powerhouse Real Madrid, which went 29-4-5 for 92 points. Valencia finished in a distant third with a record of 21-9-8 for 71 points.
Almeria finished with the worst record in La Liga at 6-20-12, which drops them to the Segunda Division. Also relegated down is Hercules, the team with the second fewest points in La Liga, and Deportivo La Coruna, the team with the third fewest. Betis won the second division and earned a move up. Rayo Vallecano was the runner-up and also receives a promotion. Granada won the final spot in the playoffs, entering La Liga for the first time in 35 years.
Six teams will have new managers this season. Gregorio Manzano takes over Atletico Madrid. Philippe Montanier is the new head man at Real Sociedad. Marcelino Garcia Toral replaces Manzano for Sevilla. Luis Garcia Plaza is Getafe’s new manager. Levante chose Juan Ignacio Martinez for its new manager, while Racing Santander is still without a manager.
While there are 20 teams in La Liga, Real Madrid and Barcelona are always very talented. As it stands, it’s always a pretty good idea to bet on the European soccer odds of one of those clubs capturing the league title.
