Nationwide Series - Stater Brothers 300 Betting OddsNASCAR Betting Online: The fifth race of this year’s NASCAR Nationwide Series roars to a start from the intriguing D-shaped oval of the Auto Club Speed way in Fontana, CA on Saturday, March 24.  This Nationwide Series race will feature some of the top drivers in the sport as they compete to win the Stater Brothers 300, airing on ESPN at 5:30 PM ET.

It will be the fifteenth running of the event that began as the Kenwood Home & Car Audio 300 back in 1997, with Todd Bodine taking the inaugural race.

Since then, the event has been dominated by Matt Kenseth.  Kenseth took the first of his four career victories back in may of 1999, then followed it with a victory in 2000.  By adding two more wins in 2003 and 2007, Kenseth solidified himself as the undisputed king of the Stater Brothers 300.

A usurper to the throne has emerged however, as Kyle Busch has won back to back races and will enter this year’s event looking for the first three-peat in the history of the race.  If Busch can complete the three-peat, then he may be well on his way to another Nationwide Series Championship.

After the slow, steep track at Belmont, the speed of the near flat track at Fontana should feel faster than ever.  Busch will look to keep his speed up after setting the record for fastest qualifying lap in the track’s history in 2005, when he completed one lap in 38.248 seconds at an average speed of 188.245 mph.

Check out Busch as the rest of the field tries to keep him from dominating the event and the Nationwide Series in general.

2012 Royal Purple 300 Winner - Joey Logano wins Royal Purple 300 from the pole

The Middletown, Conn. native returned to victory lane after leading 92 laps in the Royal Purple 300 at Auto Club Speedway (ACS). Joey Logano, 21, brought his No. 18 Translux Toyota into the winner's circle on Saturday afternoon. Logano started the race and won it from the pole in front of an estimated crowd of 40,000. This was Joe Gibbs Racing's eighth consecutive victory in the NASCAR Nationwide series at ACS.

"It's important to keep the streak going," Logano told the press after winning the race. "We try to win every one. All of the guys at the shop have done a great job."

Logano's margin of victory over Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was 1.066 seconds. This was his 10th victory in 92 NASCAR Nationwide Series races and his first this year. The Royal Purple 300 win was Logano's second victory and seventh top-10 finish in seven races at ACS.

Stenhouse started the race in the 10th position and made it all the way up to second. His time during qualifying was 41.032 seconds at a speed of 175.473 mph. The race between Stenhouse and Logano was a very close one. Their cars were neck and neck over the last 10 laps. The Roush Fenway Racing driver was hoping to end up with another win, his last was in the 2012 Sam's Town 300 in Las Vegas.

2011 Royal Purple 300 Winner

Kyle Busch drove it like he stole it over the final 13 laps at Auto Club Speedway, because that’s exactly what happened in Saturday’s Royal Purple 300 Nationwide Series race. About the only thing he didn’t get was a grand larceny charge.

Thanks to a two-tire call with 13 laps left, Busch exited the pits with a five-second lead over runner-up Carl Edwards and won a race in a No. 18 Toyota that was, at best, a third-place car.

Edwards, the pole sitter, attempted to catch Busch during the final mile, but came up 0.7 seconds short. Busch claimed his third Nationwide win of the season and the 46th of his career, which puts him three victories away from tying record-holder Mark Martin, who finished eighth in this race.
