Arena: Michigan International Raceway
Location: Brooklyn, Michigan
Date: June 16, 2011
NASCAR Betting Online: The Alliance Truck Parts 250 is scheduled for Saturday, June 16 at the historic Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI. Check out this historic race for an excellent chance to bet on the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Televised on ABC at 3:30 PM ET, this afternoon race will provide all the thrill and excitement you want when betting on NASCAR, as all the top drivers in Nationwide will be on hand trying to gain in the standings.
Keep a lookout for Carl Edwards in particular, who holds the track record for the best average finish at an astonishing 6.3. If Edwards is on his game this year at Michigan, then Justin Allgaier, Danica Patrick and the rest of the Nationwide field may be in for some trouble.
The Michigan International Speedway opened in the fall of 1968 and now acts as the setting for four different NASCAR events.
Designed by the awesomely named architect Charles Moneypenny, the storied track is a two-mile long D-shaped oval with 18-degree banking.
Over 100,000 people could be on hand to check out this race in June. Big names have won this event over the years, including Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, and Kyle Busch.
However, last year’s winner, Brad Keselowski, is the only driver in the history of the event to win back to back years. Keselowski will surely put forth his best effort to make it a three-peat, and officially label the event as his own.
Check out all 125 laps to make sure your bet on the NASCAR Nationwide Series comes to fruition.
2011 Alliance Truck Parts 250 Winner - Carl Edwards Takes Checkered Flag In Nationwide Race At Michigan Speedway
Carl Edwards led five times for 62 laps in the Alliance Truck Parts 250 Nationwide race on Saturday at Michigan Speedway, but he still had to battle it out at the end with his Roush-Fenway teammate Ricky Stenhouse Jr before capturing the victory, his 33rd career win in the Nationwide Series.
Stenhouse pased Edwards with 21 laps to go, but the Columbia, Mo., native regained the lead on lap 117 of 125 and held on to the checkered flag. It was Edwards’ fourth Nationwide win this season.
Despite finishing second, Stenhouse moved into first in the Nationwide points standings, eight points better than Elliott Sadler, who came in eighth Saturday at Michigan. Kyle Busch nipped Paul Menard, who started on the pole in the Aliance Truck Parts 250, for third and Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne was fifth.
