Texas Samsung 500 OddsNASCAR Betting Online: Cash in on NASCAR odds when the Samsung Mobile 500 revs up from April 12-14 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. The Samsung Mobile 500 will have a different look to it this year. It previously had been a day race on Sunday, but will now be a night race on Saturday. This was done because the Phoenix race switched from a night race to a day race and was moved up to February. The Samsung Mobile 500 will be the first night race on the NASCAR circuit this season. The race began in 1997 and covers 334 laps for a total of 501 miles. The first 10 races were all won by 10 different drivers, the longest such active streak for any track in the NASCAR cup circuit. Jeff Burton ended that by capturing the race in 2007, 11 years after winning the inaugural race. He is still the only repeat winner of the event.

Following Burton’s victory in 2007, Carl Edwards and Jeff Gordon won the next two races, respectively. Gordon’s victory left him with only Homestead and Kentucky as tracks he has never won on. Denny Hamlin won the race last year, finishing in three hours, 25 minutes and 34 seconds, the second-fastest time for a winner in the race’s history.

While past success is often a good future indicator on several races in the Sprint Cup series, it sure doesn’t seem to be the case on this track, as there have been 13 separate winners in 14 races. Denny Hamlin really used this race to kickstart his season last year, and as he sits in 19th place right now in the standings, would love to do so again. However, going with the theme of picking a new winner, I’d choose Jimmie Johnson, who has often been competitive at this track and is one of the best racers to choose in NASCAR odds.

2012 Samsung Mobile 500 Winner - Greg Biffle Wins Samsung Mobile 500

Saving his equipment for the final green-flag run, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points leader Greg Biffle finally put a win on the board, cruising to a 3.235-second victory over Jimmie Johnson in Saturday night's Samsung Mobile 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Biffle took the lead on Lap 304 of 334 and pulled away to win his first race since Oct. 3, 2010 (at Kansas), his second at Texas and the 17th of his career. Johnson, who led a race-high 156 laps, scraped the wall trying to run down Biffle in the late going.

Mark Martin came home third, followed by Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth. With Kasey Kahne finishing seventh and Dale Earnhardt Jr. 10th, all four Hendrick Motorsports drivers ran in the top 10, but Biffle denied them their most coveted prize, a 200th Cup victory for team owner Rick Hendrick.

From the moment he passed pole-sitter Martin Truex Jr. for the lead on Lap 180, Johnson was dominant, as Biffle chased the five-time champion lap after lap through three cycles of green-flag pit stops.

Biffle frequently gained ground when Johnson hit traffic, but the margin would expand when Johnson got to clean air. The lead stayed at roughly one second -- give or take -- and by the time the race hit Lap 300, Martin in third at 7.8 seconds back was the only other driver within 10 seconds of the leader.

2011 Samsung Mobile 500 RESULTS - Matt Kenseth Wins

The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series went under the lights in the Lone Star state of Texas for the Samsung Mobile 500.

Matt Kenseth led 169 of the 334 laps in Saturday night’s Samsung Mobile 500 en route to ending a drought of 76 races without a victory.

Since his other win at Texas in 2002, Kenseth had four runner-up finishes, including last fall behind Denny Hamlin, and six other top-10 finishes at the track.

He beat second-place Clint Bowyer by 8.315 seconds. Bowyer was the only car within 15 seconds of Kenseth and just one of 12 cars to finish on the lead lap.

2010 Winner

Mr Denny Hamlin is the new 2010 Samsung Mobile winner. Getting his 10th victory in 159 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

This is his second victory and second top-10 finish for this 2010. Hamlin has won three of the past four NSCS races run on a Monday including the last two - today and at Martinsville Speedway.

Finishing second, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and his No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota came home third, Kurt Busch and his No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge was fourth and Kasey Kahne and his No. 9 Budweiser Ford rounded out the top five.
