Cash in on NASCAR gambling when the Auto Club 400 revs up on Sunday, March 25 on FOX in Fontana, California.

In October, the Auto Club Speedway had a 400-lap race that was so well-received and hotly contested that it shortened this year’s March race as a result. This year’s Auto Club 400 has been reduced by 100 laps, which will likely bump up the excitement level for the race.

"It's impossible to ignore the on track excitement we experienced at Auto Club Speedway in October, as a result of NASCAR reducing the Chase race from 500 to 400 miles," ACS president Gillian Zucker said to NASCAR.com. "We're confident the newly [shortened] Auto Club 400 will continue the momentum we have been experiencing and that March's race will be the most exciting ever at Auto Club Speedway.

In October, Tony Stewart held on for a Clint Bowyer by 0.47 seconds, one of the closest finishes ever recorded at the Auto Club Speedway. NASCAR is hoping for a similar result in late-March, when some of the top drivers in NASCAR are expected to face off. Jimmie Johnson won this race last year, the second time in his career he has done so. Matt Kenseth won it three of the four years before that, which is definitely something to keep in mind when doing some NCAA gambling. Kenseth seems to navigate this course well, although there is no telling how the 100-lap decrease will affect his performance. Johnson will likely be the favorite to win this race because of the dominance he has displayed, but Kenseth had a pretty good year last season and does well in this race, so it makes sense to choose him to win the Auto Club 400.

2012 Auto Club 400 Winner - Tony Stewart Wins Rain-Shortened Auto Club 400

Tony Stewart made all the right moves Sunday at Auto Club Speedway, and the last one proved decisive in taking the three-time champion to Victory Lane in the rain-shortened Auto Club 400.

After raindrops slowed the race on Lap 124, Stewart, the race leader, faked a move toward pit road but stayed on the track and matched the pace car's speed of 65 mph, a far cry from the lightning-fast laps he ran under the green flag.

But that move -- staying out and running slow caution laps before NASCAR stopped the race on Lap 129 -- proved decisive for the defending NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, who claimed his second victory of the season, his second at Fontana and the 46th of his career, tying him with Buck Baker for 14th on the career victory list.

Kyle Busch, who stayed out with Stewart, finished second, with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards completing the top five.

Greg Biffle ran sixth, followed by Ryan Newman, Martin Truex Jr. and Kurt Busch, all of whom gambled on protracted rain and stayed on the track during the initial shower. Jimmie Johnson and polesitter Denny Hamlin came to pit road and finished 10th and 11th, respectively.

2011 Auto Club 400 Winner - Kevin Harvick comes from nowhere to top Jimmie Johnson on the final lap

On an exciting last-lap pass, Kevin Harvick passed Jimmie Johnson to take the Auto Club Speedway Auto Club 400 Sprint Series race in Fontana, CA. With only nine laps remaining on a restart, Harvick came from fifth to first to take the win — his first of 2011, and the 15th of his career. A disappointed Kyle Busch, who led the most laps in the race, and right up until he was passed by Johnson with only three laps to go, apologized to his crew, and thanked them for the job they did throughout the day.
