NASCAR Betting Online: If you're looking for the best advice for NASCAR wagering, you've certainly come to the right place. Here at Bookmaker sportsbook, we're previewing the Great Clips 200, which takes place on Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale, Arizona, featuring Ricky Stenhouse, Elliot Sadler, Austin Dillon and Sam Hornish, Jr.
Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. used a fifth place finish last week in Texas to pull into a dead heat with Elliot Sadler, and the Nationwide Series is coming down to the final two races to determine a winner. The second-to-last race is the Great Clips 200, which will take place on Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale Arizona. Stenhouse, Jr. and Sadler now have identical point totals of 1,170 as only this race and the Ford EcoBoost 300 season finale next week remain in NASCAR wagering.
Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.’s top-5 showing was the 18th of the season and pulled him even because Sadler finished in 11th. These two have been battling back and forth all year and it looks like it will come down to the very last week, with a good performance this week crucial for both drivers. Austin Dillon is in third place, 21 points behind, so he’s still mathematically alive but will need a pair of great finishes coupled with some disappointments from Stenhouse, Jr. and Sadler to have a shot at the title in his rookie season.
Sam Hornish, Jr. is in fourth place but out of contention, 95 points behind. However, he does seem to have a shot at winning the Great Clips 200, as he pulled the feat last year here at Phoenix International Raceway. Danica Patrick finished in 14th place in the latest race and is No. 10 in the overall standings this year on the Nationwide Series in NASCAR wagering.

How to bet on Nascar Great Clips 200
The odds of a driver to win the Great Clips 200 will generally look something like:
- Jeff Gordon + 200
- Mark Martin + 250
- Jeff Burton + 300
- Bill Elliott + 700
- Robby Gordon + 700
- Field + 500
These betting odds will be lower when betting on a driver to finish in the top three, as the sportsbook must pay off three different winning bets.
A player would have to bet $10 to win $20 that Jeff Gordon will win the Great Clips 200, while the bettor wagering on Bill Elliott stands to win $70 on their $10 wager.
Another commonly placed bet in NASCAR is head-to-head finish between two drivers. With this bet, a player doesn't really care what place the driver finishes in, as long as the driver finishes higher than the other driver.
A head-to-head betting line for the Great Clips 200 will look something like:
- Mark Martin - 130 Jeff Burton + 110
In this bet, players wagering on Martin to finish higher than Burton will be asked to risk $13 to win $10, while bettors believing that Burton will finish higher than Martin will bet $10 to win $11.
Those familiar with sports betting will have no trouble making the transition to NASCAR wagering, while those new to the world of sports betting should be able to pick up the concepts of NASCAR betting without too much hassle.
2012 Great Clips 200 Winner - JGR finishes 1-2 at Phoenix
Joey Logano and Joe Gibbs Racing continued its domination of the Nationwide Series with Logano’s ninth win of the season in his 21st start. Logano’s #18 GameStop Toyota Camry beat the #20 Dollar General Toyota of Brian Vickers across the finish line; Vickers will be driving full-time in the Nationwide Series for JGR in 2013.
Logano, who sat on the pole for the race, dominated the event, leading 168 of the 205 laps as the race ended under a green-white-checkered condition. Logano never placed lower than second throughout the race, which marked Logano’s 18th career win in the series. Vickers spent the entire race in the top 12 after qualifying fifth in his JGR debut.
The third JGR car, the #11 Dollar General Toyota driven by Brian Scott, finished eighth at Phoenix, his 10th top 10 finish of 2012. Scott won the Camping World Truck Series race on Friday night, driving from his JGR teammate Kyle Busch and giving Kyle Busch Motorsports its first win of 2012 in the Truck Series. Scott sits ninth in points with one race to go in the season, 10 points ahead of 10th-place Danica Patrick.
2011 Wypall 200 Winner - Sam Hornish Jr. cruised to his long-awaited first NASCAR victory
It's taken 142 starts in the three national NASCAR series, but finally Sam Hornish Jr. made it all the way to victory lane in the Wypall 200 Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday.
Hornish, a three-time IndyCar champion and the winner of the 2006 Indianapolis 500, has made 109 Cup starts, 32 Nationwide starts and one in the Camping World Truck Series since he exited open-wheel racing to try his hand in stock cars.
With 61 laps in front, he was one of only three leaders of the race all day - with all-but-confirmed series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. getting the bonus points for most laps led (73), and polesitter Aric Almirola leading the first third of the race before ultimately succumbing to a big multi-car wreck near the end that brought out a ten minute red flag.
