While most are paying attention to what's going on with the college athletes on the hardwood, hockey fans should be looking closely at the Frozen Four betting odds, where four of the top college hockey teams on the planet are going to be squaring off against each other in Pittsburgh.

What makes this Frozen Four so much fun is the fact that there are a ton of underdogs that have made it this far. Like Cinderella squads? We've got them for you. At the outset of the NCAA Tournament for hockey, there were four regions played in Providence, RI, Toledo, OH, Manchester, NH, and Grand Rapids, MI. Five teams were automatically qualified to get into the dance, while the other 11 slots in the tourney were at large picks.

Two of the last teams that got into the field this year were the Yale Bulldogs and the St. Cloud State Huskies. Both were No. 4 seeds in their respect regions, and both were tremendous underdogs right out of the blocks in their brackets. However, Yale topped the Minnesota Golden Gophers in overtime to start this tournament, and it pummeled the North Dakota Fighting Sioux in the quarterfinals, while St. Louis State came up with two of its best games of the season, destroying the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Redhawks in succession on back to back nights.

It's not that there weren't some big boys that made it this far on the Frozen Four wagering odds, though. The Quinnipiac Bobcats were the top overall seed in this tournament after going 27-7-5 this year. The 4-3 win over the Canisius Golden Griffins, considered largely to be the worst team in the 16-team field, was a tough one, but the Bobcats stormed past the Union Dutchmen 5-1 in the final quarterfinal tie to be played.

The last team to beat the Frozen Four gambling odds and make it to the National Semifinals was the UMass-Lowell River Hawks. The River Hawks were the third overall seed in this tournament, and they likely played their way through the easiest of the brackets to get through. The Wisconsin Badgers never had a chance in a 6-1 loss to UMass-Lowell, while a 2-0 shutout over the New Hampshire Wildcats was a game that was never really all that interesting from an offensive standpoint.

St. Cloud State has never been in the Frozen Four, and the last time that Yale was here was back in 1952.
