Waste Management Phoenix Open Betting OddsPGA Tour Golf Betting Odds: The Waste Management Phoenix Open is a nationally televised event on the PGA Tour, held at TPC-Scottsdale and is part of the “West Coast Swing”. The tournament dates are usually the last week in January or the first week in February.

This is the best attended golf tournament of every calendar year, and in 2008 the FBR Open set a PGA Tour single day attendance record with over 170,000 fans in attendance on Saturday, Feb. 2, as well as a tournament week attendance record of 538,356 fans. The 4-day attendance of the tournament is usually around 500,000.

The most popular hole for spectators to watch is the 16th hole due to the "Amphitheatre" atmosphere of the hole, created by the stands erected every year before the tournament. The hole could be described as "one big party", with many students from the nearby Arizona State getting their groove on and getting drunk by days end. Poor shots at the 16th hole receive boos -- Good shots, however, are cheered loudly. The atmosphere at the 16th is more like an NFL game and no other hole on the PGA Tour is like it. Some pros skip the event because they don’t want to be heckled on the sixteenth hole. Famous moments at the 16th include Tiger Woods hole-in-one in 1997, which caused the gallery to erupt, throwing cups and other objects in celebration, and Justin Leonard flipping the gallery off after a poor shot. The most popular golfer is unquestionably Phil Mickelson, a former Arizona State alum, who considers this event his favorite. In addition to the golf, there is a concert/party held in the Scottsdale area called the Birds Nest.

The weather should be great, the crowds will be enormous, and the 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open will be an exciting tournament to watch.

2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open Winner - Stanley bounces back strongly with a win in the Waste Management Phoenix Open

After a devastating meltdown at the Farmers Insurance Open last week, Kyle Stanley bounced back to win the Waste Management Phoenix Open at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Scottsdale, Arizona, held from February 2 to 5, 2012.

The man, who was seen in tears last week because of a horrible loss, was again found in the same condition at TPC Scottsdale.

However, this time, tears were rolling down his face because of joy that he had on Sunday after registering his first ever win on the PGA Tour.

When he entered the course on the final day of the event, Spencer Levin was having an eight-stroke lead over him. However, last week’s history repeated but this time the grief came to Levin’s part.

Stanley fired a bogey-free six-under par 65 to surge at top of the leaderboard with a one-stroke margin over Ben Crane who finished on 66.

2011 Waste Management Phoenix Open Winner - Mark Wilson wins Phoenix Open playoff

Mark Wilson has won the frost-delayed Phoenix Open, beating Jason Dufner on the second hole of a playoff.

Wilson made a 9-foot birdie putt Monday for his second victory in three starts this year.

He was two strokes ahead when play resumed Monday. He closed with a 2-under 69 to match Dufner at 18 under. Dufner shot a 66, birdieing Nos. 16 and 17.

Wilson opened the season with a victory in the Sony Open in a 36-hole Sunday finish. He made a 4½-foot par putt on the par-18th to extend the playoff after Dufner tapped in for par.
