Malaysian Open Golf Betting OddsEuropean Tour Golf Betting Odds: South Korean teenager Noh Seung-yul became the youngest professional in history to win a European Tour event when he edged out compatriot K J Choi to claim the 2010 Maybank Malaysian Open. Noh, at 18 years and 281 days, beat the record for youngest professional winner - previously set by Dale Hayes in 1971 - by nine days, although the youngest winner in Tour history is New Zealand's Danny Lee who was 18 and 213 days when he won the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic as an amateur.

Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club's West Course is the longest and most challenging of two private golf courses at the club, located near the heart of Kuala Lumpur's sprawling city center. Designed by architect Robin Nelson and playing to nearly 7,000 yards from the tournament tees, the golf course is set among the Bukit Kiara hillsides.

Several tournaments have been held at the KLGCC, West Course. The Malaysian Open was the first co-sanctioned event between the European and Asian Tours in 1999 and was held on the West course in 2006. This was where Korea’s Charlie WI won his first European Tour title, becoming only the second Korean to win on the European Tour after K J Choi.

Since the 2006 Malaysian Open, the West Course at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club has undergone a total redesign. Nelson & Haworth originally designed the West Course, which opened for play in 1991, but Parslow and Associates extensively reconstructed the layout over a period of eighteen months. The revamped West Course reopened in October 2008.

Making history as the first ever co-sanctioned tournament in Asia by both the Asian and European Tours in 1999, the Maybank Malaysian Open 2012 will feature top players from the rankings of both these world-leading circuits to make up the 156-player line-up. A star-studded field is expected at this year's edition of the Maybank Malaysian Open.

Check back the week of the tournament and Bookmaker Sportsbook will have the Odds to win for this year's Maybank Malaysian Open.

2012 Maybank Malaysian Open Winner - Oosthuizen plays it cool to win the Maybank Malaysian Open

IT was a sobering experience for Louis Oosthuizen as he not only made amends for his Augusta defeat but also pocketed a cool US$416,660 when he won the Maybank Malaysian Open at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club yesterday with a score of 17 under 271.

There was never a worry that the South African was going to slip, or that there will be another play-off to determine the winner, as the World No 19 was fully focussed on the task at hand.

Scotsman Stephen Gallacher carded a battling 70 to finish second while American David Lipsky, winner of the Cambodian Classic last month, finished joint third two shots back after a 70 alongside Danny Willett of England (71) and Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello (71).

Former Asian Tour No 1s Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa of India were the best placed Asians in tied 11th place in the US$2.5 million event sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour.

2011 Winner - ITALIAN STALLION

Matteo Manassero gave himself the perfect birthday gift by becoming the youngest ever champion of the Maybank Malaysian Open, holding off challenges from Gregory Bourdy and Rory McIlroy on Sunday.

The dashing Italian, who turns 18 on Tuesday, produced a superb final round of four-under-par 68, thanks largely to a pivotal eagle three on the 10th hole to triumph by one with a 16-under-par 272 from Frenchman Bourdy, who battled to a 67 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club.

A week after his Masters disappointment where he led for 63 holes before fading away, McIlroy produced a brave fight in the US$2.5 million showpiece, which was celebrating its 50th anniversary and sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour.

The Northern Irishman, the world number nine, battled magnificently on the back nine to give himself a title chance but failed to find the crucial birdie at the last hole to force a play-off with Manassero as he settled for third place with a 69 for a 274 total.
