Greenbrier Classic Golf Betting OddsOnline Golf Odds: The Greenbrier Classic is a PGA Tour golf tournament at The Old White Course at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The Greenbrier Classic replaces the long-standing Buick Open that was played in Flint, Michigan. In 2011, the PGA Tour and The Greenbrier jointly announced that they have entered a six-year agreement through 2015.

The historic West Virginia resort will sponsor and host The Greenbrier Classic as part of the FedEx Cup beginning the week of July 2, 2012. The announcement was made at The Greenbrier during an afternoon press conference attended by resort-owner James Justice, West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin, World Golf Hall of Fame member and Greenbrier Golf Professional Emeritus Tom Watson, and, via videoconference, PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem.

The Greenbrier has had its share of involvement with professional golf over the years.

The Greenbrier Course, built in 1924 and renovated by Jack Nicklaus in 1977, played host to the 1979 Ryder Cup Matches as well as the 1994 Solheim Cup Matches. The Greenbrier also played host to a Champions Tour tournament from 1985-87.

Measuring nearly 7,000 yards, the par-70 Old White Course was originally designed by Charles Blair MacDonald and most recently underwent an extensive renovation by Lester George – returning the course to its original design and reopened in 2006.

2011 Greenbrier Classic Winner - Greenbrier Classic: Anthony Kim Takes Country Roads to the Top in West Virginia

John Denver's lyrics never rang more true for Anthony Kim this week at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs.

The 26-year-old Los Angeles native has not been atop the leader board in a PGA Tour event since his win at the 2010 Shell Houston Open, where he defeated Vaughn Taylor in a playoff.

Though Kim has not been a regular as many thought he would be on the PGA Tour, it has not deterred him from his goals on the golf course.

The three-time winner on tour has gone through several injuries in the past few years, most notably the injuries to his wrist.

Coming off and dealing with that wrist injury, AK was not having too much fun on a golf course.

Kim has made just 12 cuts in the 21 events he has played this year on the PGA Tour.

Not prototypical results he has been used to in his five-year career.

A good time would hardly be the adjective I would use to describe his third-round performance at Greenbrier.

AK began his round at two-under-par for the tournament. But how the tides would turn for him as the early afternoon would progress.

He began his round by birdieing three holes on the front nine to go out in 31, three-under par.

Kim then rang off three straight birdies to begin his back nine birdie assault on The Old White TPC course at the Greenbrier Resort.
