Golf Betting Online: Fry's Electronics, a company that has a ton of involvement with the sporting scene in San Jose, including the Arena Football League's San Jose SaberCats, will be sponsoring the second stop on the PGA Tour Fall Series in October. The Fry's.com Open will once again see some of the best golfers in the world engage in PGA Tour betting warfare.
This tournament will be played at the Par 71 Corde Valle Golf Club in San Martin, CA. There is a hefty $5 Million prize fund up for grabs, of which $900,000 will go to the winner.
In 2007, Canadian Mike Weir became the first, and to date, the only international player to ever win this event. At that point, this was called the Fry's Electronics Open. Weir became the first man to win this tournament with four rounds of golf in the 60s, though Beckman duplicated the feat the next year.
In fact, Matteson became the first golfer to overcome a round in the 70s and a round above par to come back in win. Shooting a tournament record 61 in both the second and third rounds helped out the American to take down the title at Corde Valley Golf Club. Matteson set a PGA Tour record for two rounds in an event by shooting a 122 in those two rounds combined. That record still remains today. He also had to out-duel both Rickie Fowler and Jamie Lovemark last year in a playoff after shooting that -18 over the four rounds.
Built in 1999, CordeValle features a 260-acre 18-hole championship golf course designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
Featuring unobstructed views of radiant natural beauty with dramatic contours and elevation changes, this 7,169-yard, par 72 golf course makes innovative use of Northern California's hillsides, canyons and broad meadows. Reflecting the belief that championship golf courses are not built just for professional tournaments, CordeValle offers an impressive variety of play.
Like the world's great courses, it takes on a different theme each time it is played. The ability to incorporate different strategies and club selections throughout the course will make every round a delightful new adventure.
Destined to be the equal of the world’s finest golf courses, CordeValle is an outstanding accomplishment of a designer who is one part visionary, one part outdoorsman and one part golf enthusiast. Given complete freedom to design CordeValle's championship golf course, renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. created what many consider one of his greatest masterpieces. The land surrounding the course is part of a private preserve with over 1,000 protected acres, unencumbered by residential or commercial development.

2011 Frys.com Open Winner - Bryce Molder Wins Frys.com Open In A Playoff
It took six playoff holes but Bryce Molder can now call himself a PGA TOUR champion. Molder and Briny Baird finished the Frys.com Open tied at 17-under and needed extra holes to determine a winner. It wasn't until Molder made birdie on the sixth playoff hole and Baird made par that he was crowned champion.
What made the back and forth playoff more interesting was the fact neither player had ever won on the PGA TOUR. For Molder, this was his 132nd career start. For Baird it was his 348th, his quest will for victory will have to wait. Molder's victory earns him $900,000 but more importantly, exemption through the 2013 season.
How did Molder finally break through to earn his first championship? His last two rounds he made 13 birdies and only one bogey. He averaged 26.8 putts per round throughout the tournament, the best of anyone in the field.

The 47-year-old Mediate won his sixth PGA TOUR title and first since 2002, finishing with a 2-over 73 for a 15-under 269 total at CordeValle. He earned $900,000 and a two-year TOUR exemption.
