Deutsche Bank Championship Betting OddsPGA Online Betting: This is a relatively new tournament sponsored by Deutsche Bank and has been going on since 2003. The Tournament Players Club of Boston in Norton, MA is the home for this event and has been since its inception. Historically, scores are incredibly low at this event. In 2010, Steve Stricker, captured the tournament title by shooting a -17 for the tournament. He became just the second man ever to shoot a 72 in a round at this tournament and still win.

There has only been one two time winner of this event, and that is Vijay Singh. Singh captured the crown here in Boston in both 2004 and 2008, and both times, he shot four rounds in the sixties to find glory.

Singh isn't the only major name in golf to win at this event. Phil Mickelson won here in 2007 by shooting -16. Tiger Woods also has a tournament triumph here with his -16 total in 2006.

The highest winning score at this event ever came from American Olin Browne, who totaled 270 for a -14 for the four-day event.

Browne, Woods, and Mickelson marked three straight Americans to win the annual Labor Day tournament in Boston. Singh and Aussie Adam Scott are the only two to ever win this event from outside of the states. Ironically, no European has ever won the Deutsche Bank Championship.

The course record on this par 71 TPC is held by Singh, who shot -22 in 2008.

Only seven golfers that made the cut in last year's tournament failed to shoot at least par, while 22 shot at least -10. Any score of par or worse failed to make the cut last year.

Needless to say, if you're a fan of birdies and eagles, you are going to love this event. Be sure to keep it locked to Bookmaker Sportsbook for all of your Deutsche Bank Championship betting needs this Labor Day weekend!

2011 Deutsche Bank Championship Winner - Simpson steals Deutsche Bank Championship

We have to roll the clock all the way back to July 2009 when Webb Simpson, an unknown young American player happened to be paired with the more seasoned American player Sean O’Hair.

The occasion is perhaps notable not in the meeting of the players but the fact that O’Hair’s veteran caddie Paul Tesori first met Simpson that day. Interestingly enough after Tesori was unceremoniously fired by O’Hair in late 2010 he received a call from Simpson.

The two hit it off instantly and Tesori found himself on Simpson’s bag at their first PGA Tour outing in Hawaii in January 2011. Since then, it’s been the stuff of fairy tales. The 26-year-old Simpson has rocketed from being a relatively unknown to the top of the PGA Tour’s 2011 money list.

He notched his biggest win last week at the Fedex Cup Deutsche Bank Championship to catapult himself to the top of the Fedex Cup Rankings. Simpson now has two wins out of his last three starts and has posted an astounding nine top-ten finishes in 22 events this year.

2010 Deutsche Bank Championship results - Charley Hoffman wins at TPC Boston

Charley Hoffman couldn't count all the perks that came with winning the Deutsche Bank Championship, just like he lost track of the 11 birdies he made in a Labor Day masterpiece. He moved up 57 spots to No. 2 in the FedEx Cup standings, giving him a shot at the $10 million bonus.

He gets to play all four majors, after not getting into any of them this year. That includes a trip down Magnolia Lane at Augusta National to compete in his first Masters.

And that might not be all.

"The best perk, hopefully, will be a Ryder Cup berth," Hoffman said after closing with a 9-under 62, the best finish by a winner at the TPC Boston since the tournament began in 2003. "Obviously, I wasn't in contention, but I hope I am now. It would be an honor to play, and I think I can play well."

Tiger Woods shot a 68 and keeps his No. 1 ranking for the 274th week in a row, with an assist from Phil Mickelson, who imploded on the back nine with a triple bogey and double bogey to shoot 76.

Woods is expected to be a Ryder Cup pick, along with Zach Johnson and Stewart Cink. No one stands out for the fourth selection!
