NFL Conference Championships

The NFL championship round is coming up quickly, as the four playoff teams left are locked in for a run at the Super Bowl. Here are the playoff matchups this week:

Baltimore Ravens ( +7 ) at New England Patriots, Sunday, January 22nd at 3 p.m. ET on CBS at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.: The two top seeds in the AFC will face off for the chance to advance to the Super Bowl. The Patriots got here by routing the Denver Broncos in the AFC divisional round between 363 yards and six touchdowns passing from Tom Brady and 145 receiving yards and three scores from Rob Gronkowski. Baltimore's defense may be the best in the NFL, so it will be interesting to see how well Brady and the New England passing game works against it. The Ravens' offense struggled but the team did defeat the Houston Texans 20-13 in the divisional round. Running back Ray Rice could be in for a big game against a Patriots defense that has struggled this year. The over-under is 50 points for this contest. The Patriots are a -325 favorite on the money line, while the Ravens are a +275 underdog.

New York Giants ( +2.5 ) at San Francisco 49ers, Sunday, January 22nd at 6:30 p.m. on FOX at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, Calif.: The New York Giants are playing some of the best football of anyone in the playoffs, knocking off the Atlanta Falcons and the top-seeded Green Bay Packers to advance to within one win of the Super Bowl. The team's pass rush has been very impressive and has been a big reason for the postseason dominance. Eli Manning has become one of the NFL's top quarterback this season, and has a pair of elite wide receivers in Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. San Francisco came away with a thrilling win over the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round when quarterback Alex Smith hit tight end Vernon Davis for the game-winning touchdown with 10 seconds remaining. The team's defense is very good and should give the Giants problems. Smith had a very good game against New Orleans, and if he plays well, the 49ers should be in good shape. The over-under in this contest is 42 total points. The 49ers are a -140 favorite on the money line, while New York is a +120 underdog.
