When South Carolina got Lattimore the ball, good things happened. In the seven wins in which Lattimore appeared for the Gamecocks, the freshman averaged over 27 carries per contest. In their four regular season losses, he averaged just 14 carries.

The moral of the story for South Carolina: give Marcus Lattimore the football early and often. Their first game comes against East Carolina, in a game that sees them as 20-point favorites.
