Offense: - A 7-2 finish to 2010 gives the Irish momentum for 2011. QB Dayne Crist (2,033 pass yds, 15 TD, 7 INT) should be fully healed from his ruptured patella tendon, and it appears suspended WR Michael Floyd (79 rec, 1,025 yds, 12 TD) will be re-instated in August. Floyd, the school’s all-time leader in TD receptions (28), was arrested in March for driving with a 0.19 blood alcohol level. He was suspended by coach Brian Kelly and received one year of probation after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving. TB Cierre Wood (603 rush yds) should flourish behind a solid O-Line.

Defense: - The D-Line needs work, but the LBs are excellent, especially ILB Manti Te’o (133 tackles, 9.5 TFL) and OLB Darius Fleming (5.5 sacks). The secondary loses ball-hawking S Harrison Smith (7 INT).
