NFL Betting Online: The Dolfans down on South Beach didn’t get either of the items on their offseason wish list – a new head coach and a new quarterback.

Miami finished third in the East last season with a 7-9 record (8-8 ATS) because of a putrid offense. After ranking 30th in scoring at 17.1 points a game, mercurial wide receiver Brandon Marshall blasted Chad Henne and Tony Sparano after the disappointing year concluded.

It appeared the Dolphins were going to replace Sparano with Jim Harbaugh, but when he joined the 49ers Miami had to settle with what they had under contract. Sparano can’t be going into this season feeling assured he will have a job in the end.

The only way he might avoid an early termination is early success. But to have that, there must be a serviceable quarterback under center, and there isn’t.

Chad Henne is not the answer, and the fans know it. During training camp they routinely chanted, "We Want [Kyle] Orton!" But the Broncos have made it clear they aren’t trading their quarterback so Miami is stuck with Henne.

"I’m human," Henne said of the Orton chants. "Deep down inside it does hurt."

What hurts more was Henne’s 15-19 touchdown-interception ratio last year. He was a big reason the Dolphins had a minus-12 turnover margin.

Dan Henning was let go as offensive coordinator but we’re not so sure the replacement is any better. Brian Daboll was brought over from Cleveland. Only two offenses rated lower than the Dolphins last year and the Browns were one of them.

The Wildcat offense that made Sparano famous is completely extinct. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are gone and it looks as if Miami will try to use Reggie Bush as the lone feature back. The problem with that is that Bush hasn't played in 16 games since his rookie year and has a career yards-per-rush average of 4.0.

Now that Parcels has left his position as VP of football operations, many doubt the future of this franchise. Early bettors doubt the Dolphins can even win one more game this season. BookMaker released their NFL odds regular season win total at eight.

The opening juice for that prop bet was weighted toward the under at -140. Currently, the juice is -165, which essentially equates to a 7.5-game win total with a -125 under juice. This means sharps are hammering the under.

Miami is picked to finish third in the AFC East with NFL odds of +1000. The Dolphins are listed at +3000 to win the conference and +5500 to win Super Bowl XLVI.
