Mixed martial arts has been gaining in popularity at an astonishing rate and a growing number of people are betting on the modern-day gladiatorial contests. It is a full contact sport that involves two fighters facing off in a square or octagon shaped ring. While mixed martial arts is an exciting sport by itself, placing a bet on the action only increases the intensity. you can bet on submissions bets to knockouts we’ve got you covered - be sure to bet on it with Bookmaker online sportsbook! Originally beginning as a “no rules” championship, over time things have evolved drastically. Gloves became mandatory, whereas in the beginning fighters would have at it bare-knuckled. There were no judges, as rounds were unlimited. Essentially, there was no way to win UFC betting matches by decision; only knockout, submission, or throwing in the towel. There’s nothing better than betting on live mixed martial arts action. Even if you don’t know the fighters, betting on them will make the fights that much more exciting. Bookmaker.eu offers the following guide on mixed martial arts betting - an explanation of what the odds mean and what areas to look at when picking a winner. Track MMA fighters odds and injury updates on some of the best fighters today, such as, Georges St. Pierre, Josh Kosheck, Frankie Edgar, B.J. Penn, Anderson Silva, Rashad Evans, and Mauricio Shogun Rua. The Heavyweight division has never been more exciting with Brock Lesnar, Cain Velasquez, Shane Carwin, Fabricio Werdum, Alistair Overeem and Fedor Emelianenko battling for supremacy. UFC betting odds have been available since the very beginning, and since its inception in 1993 with UFC 1. Since there are no scores posted with UFC betting odds, the available UFC odds usually are moneyline bets, and props. Pointspreads and totals don’t exist because there is only the winner and the loser. Fortunately for bettors, matches can finish as quickly as 10 seconds in, meaning quick money for whoever bet on the bout. And who doesn’t love quick money? Unlike football or basketball where there are point spreads, Example -7, +13.5, UFC fights have odds which are called moneylines. A moneyline is basically a way for the sportsbooks to even out the betting public. So for example if Brock Lesnar was fighting a no name guy in his first fight, Lesnar would be a HUGE favorite, probably around -4400 or so (44 to 1). If there was no moneyline, you could just bet on the favorite everytime, and become a millionaire pretty quickly. So here is an actual example from a UFC fight, that will explain the odds a bit better. Minus ( - ) = favorite - Plus ( + ) = underdog Georges St. Pierre ( -140 ) Rashad Evans ( +120 ) In this matchup, St. Pierre is the favorite at -140. This means that for every $1.40 you bet, you win $1. So if you were to gamble $140 on Georges St. Pierre, you’d win $100 (profit) - if he beats Rashad. Rashad is the underdog in this match at +120. This means that for every $1 you bet, you will win $1.20. So if you bet $100 on Rashad, and he is victorious, you will take home $120 (profit). The moneylines on UFC fights will often change with the amount of money being bet on each side. If a pile of money is coming in on one side, the sportsbook will adjust the moneyline to even out the action and get bettors gambling on the other fighter. Whatever the UFC odds are when you place your bet, is the odds you get.
