If you're looking for the best advice to beat the NCAA basketball wagering, you've certainly come to the right place. Here at Bookmaker sportsbook, we're previewing the college basketball season, taking a look at 2011 NCAA Final Four Tournament participant the Virginia Commonwealth Rams.

NCAA Basketball Virginia Commonwealth Rams BettingNCAA baskeball Betting Online: Virginia Commonwealth showed last year that after qualifying for the NCAA Tournament, anything can happen. The Rams had to beat USC in a play-in game just to qualify for the Field of 64, and then pulled off one of the more surprising runs of recent memory by winning five games to advance all the way to the Final Four, where they were finally eliminated by Butler. Virginia Commonwealth knocked off Georgetown, Purdue, Florida State and Kansas to get there, so it certainly earned it.

The Rams weren't super impressive during the regular season last year and were one of the final at-large selections for March Madness. They are hoping the experience of that journey and the return of star Bradford Burgess will be enough to improve on last season's 23-11 regular season mark. Virginia Commonwealth finished in third place in the Colonial Athletic Association, and multiple previews has it finishing in the same spot this year. Burgess will carry the bulk of the load. He averaged 14.0 points and 6.1 rebounds last season, and with the graduation of leading scorer Jamie Skeen, Burgess could see those numbers improve. Brandon Rozell and Joey Rodriguez averaged in double figures last season, but also have moved on. Burgess is getting preseason consideration for Conference Player of the Year, and he will have to play well this season because the Rams must replace a lot of their top players from last season.

George Mason, Drexel and Old Dominion are likely going to be Virginia Commonwealth's biggest challengers in the conference. George Mason is considered the favorite to win the CAA, but the Rams are most certainly in the mix. Virginia Commonwealth has a different team from the one that made last year's Final Four, but with Burgess and coach Shaka Smart, this is a group that should not be counted out in NCAA basketball wagering.
