NCAA baskeball Betting Online: In college basketball, the Big-12 can be a tough place to live for any teams not named Kansas or Texas. Outside of the two powerhouses, and with most teams in the conference jumping ship in the midst of massive realignment throughout the college sports world, the Big 12 is often a toss up of teams that will likely lose in the early rounds of the tournament. In a conference more focused on football, recognition for a basketball program can be elusive.

The Kansas State Wildcats consistently fall into that trap, though last year must certainly be deemed a success. The success of the football program so far this season, however, may overshadow what could be a possible rebuilding year for Frank Martin’s Wildcats.

The loss of Jacob Pullen, the star senior guard, will be a tough pill to swallow. A 20-point per game scorer a year ago, Pullen was the catalyst in their last two NCAA tournament runs. However, last year’s tournament showing was not as memorable as was hoped of Pullen’s senior year, as a loss to the fourth seeded Wisconsin Badger sent them home from a weak bracket eventually won by the eight seeded Butler Bulldogs.

A better performance in the elimination game from Pullen’s supporting cast and it could have been a Cinderella story in the making. The senior guard scored 38 points in his final game while his teammates combined for only 27. Pullen hit all six of Kansas State’s three-pointers that game, in a gutsy performance perfectly exemplifying the star’s time in Manhattan, Kansas.

This year’s non-conference schedule is headlined by road outings against Virginia Tech and Alabama, and a couple solid home games versus the perennially relevant George Washington and a quality West Virginia squad. The college basketball wagering should be in full form by then, so make sure to follow Kansas State all season long.
