He will immediately give this team a defensive presence and make it worthy of placing your NBA betting picks on when he figures out how to get into the action.

However, the better offseason acquisition might have been that of F Ryan Anderson from the Orlando Magic. It cost a pretty penny to get the job done, but Anderson comes to the Bayou with a sharp eye for three-point shooting. He can get in the paint and battle as well, but the real trick comes with the mismatch that he gives to other 6'10" players.

In the backcourt, there really could be some struggles for those making NBA gambling picks on New Orleans. G Greivis Vasquez and G Austin Rivers are going to be the two that are vying to run the point this year, and G Eric Gordon really is the only man that has the ability to be the #2 guard. The combination of F Al-Farouq Aminu and F Hakim Warrick really doesn't do much for us either.

The team won't go 21-45 SU once again, and it won't win just three games out of 14 in division play. The Hornets were 35-31 ATS last year, showing that they had some grit to make games at least a little closer than usual, and adding Davis in there should only help that matter out. Don't be shocked if this is another low scoring season for New Orleans too, as it finished last year at just 30-35-1 versus the closing 'totals'.
