NASCAR Betting Online: NASCAR crowns its 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion at the Ford Ecoboost 400 on November 16th, 2014 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. Due to their current position in the Chase standings, Joey Logano and Kyle Busch could be among the drivers favored in NASCAR wagering.
The Chase for the Sprint Cup is a 10-race playoff that ends with a NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion being crowned at the Ford Ecoboost 400. The drivers qualify for the Chase based off wins and points earned in the regular season. The driver with the most points after the final 10 races is declared the champion. Joey Logano is the current leader in the Chase with 3,048 points. Logano is six points ahead of Kyle Busch.
Next up in the Chase will be the Eliminator Round featuring three races that will slim the Chase field down to just four drivers to compete in Florida. Last year’s Ford Ecoboost 400 champion was Denny Hamlin who won with a time of 3:03:52 and averaged 131 miles per hour a lap. Hamlin also won this event in 2009, but the race has seen three other champions take the crown in between. He is currently ranked fifth in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
Tony Stewart and Greg Biffle are the only two NASCAR drivers to defend their title here at the Ford Ecoboost 400. Stewart won this event in 1999 and 2000 and Biffle won here in Florida from 2004-2006 in NASCAR wagering.
