Hockey Betting Online: TSN and the NBC Sports Network are featuring this fantastic clash on Saturday, June 1st between the Los Angeles Kings ( 35-19-7 ) and the Chicago Blackhawks ( 44-10-6 ).
The hockey lines come off the board in Game 1 of this series when puck drops at 5:00 p.m. ET from the United Center in Chicago, IL.
NHL Betting Odds
Chicago Blackhawks: -150
The Kings have had almost a few days off after knocking off the San Jose Sharks in a thrilling seven-game series in which the home team won all seven games. LA has now won six series in a row dating back to last season, and it is going to try to claim a huge scalp in this one. If the Kings were to beat the hockey betting lines in this series, it would be the second straight year in which they knocked off the Presidents' Trophy winners.
The man of the hour absolutely has to be G Jonathan Quick, who is probably the most likely man to be the Conn Smythe Award winner should his team win the Stanley Cup. Quick was brilliant against the Sharks, allowing just 10 goals for the whole series. He now has 11 goals conceded in total in his last eight games, and he has a whopping .952 save percentage in those outings.
Chicago though, is going to provide a much different challenge. The Blackhawks had to fight tooth and nail to knock off the Detroit Red Wings, but they were able to do so on the hockey gambling lines by scoring 10 goals in the final three games of the series after scoring just a total of two goals in the previous three.
The Blackhawks clearly have more pressure on their back, knowing that they were the best team in hockey all season long, and we are still questioning whether G Corey Crawford has the gumption to be able to hang in there against Quick. Crawford has been good in these playoffs, posting a 1.70 GAA through 12 games, but he looks beatable at this point, and that could be bad news for Chicago fans.
Keep an eye on both RW Marian Hossa and LW Patrick Sharp. These two each have 11 points here in the playoffs, and they have combined to score 12 of the team's 33 goals here in the second season.
These two clubs have a very mixed history between them. This season, the two opened up the season in Los Angeles, and Quick had a miserable game, allowing five goals in a 5-2 loss. The Blackhawks won two of the three meetings this year between the two, though the road team is 6-2 on the hockey wagering lines in the last eight meetings of these arch rivals. We expect that this is going to be one of these series where every game could go either way.
