  • BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: When the Tulsa Shock stumble into the Conseco Fieldhouse on Tuesday night, they will be desperate for their first win of the young season. If you are looking for an underdog you can use to bet on the WNBA online, then the Shock might be your team.

Over the first four games of the season, the Shock have been downright terrible. Losing by an average of eighteen points per game, Tulsa has never been close, nor have they given their fans any reason to hope for improvement.  Continue...

  • BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The Atlanta Dream and the Washington Mystics face off Thursday night in a heated rematch of last year’s first round pairing in the Eastern Conference playoffs. With both teams dropping their opening contests to start their 2011 campaigns, each side will be eager to break into the win column. This competitiveness should make for an exciting opportunity to bet on the WNBA online.  Continue...

  • BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The Minnesota Lynx and the Los Angeles Sparks tip off the 2011 WNBA season on Friday, featuring two of the top young players in the league. Maya Moore enters her rookie season as the most talked about first year player since the current Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker.  Continue...

  • BookMaker.netMLS Betting Online: D.C. United became the first team this year to go to Jeld-Wen Field and cut down the towering Timbers. It was an upset of massive proportions. Portland was a perfect 6-0-0 at home in 2011 and bettors were backing the club at a -133 moneyline price and hefty spread MLS soccer odds all week, driving both numbers up from their openers. But the United cashed as +310 underdogs behind the 3-2 victory.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Minnesota at Indiana

    By  Kyle Odegard

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: It’s crunch time for the Lynx. Heading into Tuesday’s action, Minnesota was tied with Los Angeles and San Antonio in a three-way battle for the final two playoff spots in the Western Conference. Based on tiebreakers, the Lynx would be on the outside looking in, so needless to say, the regular season finale against Indiana will have large implications. Depending on how the week leading up to it shakes out, Minnesota’s fate could be determined on Sunday, the last day of the regular season. The task of grabbing a victory is a tall one, as Minnesota must face off with Indiana, the best team in the Eastern Conference.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Washington at Atlanta

    By  Kyle Odegard

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The Mystics and the Dream are both safely in the playoffs, but with all four postseason participants within two and a half games of each other, there is still some room for movement in the standings. Washington was in third place and Atlanta fourth through Monday, and both would like to move up to gain home court advantage in the first round. With four teams qualifying for the playoffs, the top two seeds earn the luxury of having an extra game at home should the series extend to its limit. The Mystics and Dream have played three times this season, and Washington has won two of those.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Chicago at Tulsa

    By  Kyle Odegard

BookMaker.netWNBA betting online: There’s nothing left to play for between the Sky and the Shock, who have both been eliminated from postseason contention and are just playing out the string until the regular season ends.

Tulsa has been the worst team in the league this season, with only five wins in 31 games, and just one in its past 10. Clearly, the Shock doesn’t have much talent or motivation left. This is a home game, so maybe Tulsa will want to give its fan base one last chance to see something positive, but the Shock is just 3-13 at home in this hapless season.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Los Angeles at Seattle

    By  Kyle Odegard

BookMaker.netWNBA betting online: The Sparks remain in the midst of a three-team race for the final two playoff spots in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles has won two straight to move up to third place, but still has the same record as San Antonio and Minnesota heading into Monday. Four teams from each conference make the playoffs.

Seattle, meanwhile, long ago wrapped up the top spot in the conference and is biding its time until the postseason begins. The Storm has lost two in a row as it struggles to find motivation as the regular season wraps up.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Chicago at Atlanta

    By  Kyle Odegard

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: Despite a record that would put them in third place in the Western Conference, the Chicago Sky are still stuck in the cellar in the East and are one loss away from getting eliminated from postseason contention heading into Friday’s games. A five-game losing streak from late July through early August spelled doom for Chicago, which will now revert to the role of spoiler. The Dream, meanwhile, are jockeying for playoff position and will likely be one of four teams from the Eastern Conference to qualify for the postseason.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Phoenix at Los Angeles

    By  Kyle Odegard

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The Mercury and the Sparks sure have a flair for the dramatic. The teams have faced off four times this season, and three have been decided by just one point. The Mercury has been on the winning end of two of those and also holds a 3-1 series advantage this year. Diana Taurasi leads the league in scoring, and she has plenty of help in Phoenix. Despite back-to-back losses this week, the Mercury is 9-5 since the start of July heading into Friday’s game against Indiana. Phoenix is solidly in second place in the Western Conference, but the defending WNBA champions aren’t content with just making the postseason.  Continue...

  • BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: San Antonio and Minnesota are clinging to their playoff lives, both a half-game ahead of the Sparks for the final two playoff berths in the Western Conference as of Friday afternoon.

This is the fifth and final matchup between the teams this season. They have split the first four, so not only will a victory move one team up in the standings, but it will also give them the head-to-head tiebreaker if they are tied at the end of the regular season.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Indiana at Los Angeles

    By  Paul Cassius

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: A two-game winning streak has pushed Indiana back into the top spot in the Eastern Conference, a half-game ahead of Atlanta, the team it beat on Friday. The Sparks, meanwhile, are in a battle to simply make the playoffs, as a loss to San Antonio on Sunday dropped them to 10-18 overall and a half-game behind Minnesota for the fourth and final playoff seed. These teams faced off on July 22 and Indiana had no trouble, cruising to a 76-57 home victory. This one is in L.A., where the Sparks are 7-7 on the year. The Fever is 7-6 in road games, and has won four of its last five away from Indiana. Tina Thompson leads the Sparks in scoring at 15.1 points per game, and on Sunday passed Lisa Leslie as the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer. Tamika Catchings leads the Fever with 17.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.  Continue...

Bet on WNBA The San Antonio Silver Stars at the Los Angeles Sparks

    By  Clark Burroughs

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The San Antonio Silver Stars visit the Los Angeles Sparks in a game that has serious implications for the bottom half of the Western Conference’s playoff seedings. With less than a month to go in the WNBA regular season, San Antonio clings to a third seed in the West, while the Sparks must piece together a string of wins to make the big show. The Silver Stars are led by guard Becky Hammon, who averages 13.5 points per game and helps direct the San Antonio offense. Hammon, in her twelfth WNBA season, is supported by teammates Sophia Young (14.6 ppg) and Chamique Holdsclaw (13 ppg). The Silver Stars have found a way to win games, despite an offense that ranks last in the WNBA with 75.12 points per game. Their defense is middle of the pack, and this tends to be a team that plays from behind and loses too many close games.  Continue...

WNBA betting odds: New York Liberty at Minnesota Lynx

    By  Paul Cassius

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online:The New York Liberty roll into Minnesota to play the Lynx in a game with playoff implications for both teams. When these two teams met at MSG earlier this season, New York fell to Minnesota 75-68, a typical game for the Liberty -- New York hasn’t scored or given up more than 100 points all season. The “Libs” – who have shown improvement over the past four weeks through a series of win streaks -- are anchored by MVP candidate Cappie Pondexter, who came over from Phoenix during the offseason, and is no stranger to late-season postseason runs. Having just scored her 3,000th point in the WNBA, Pondexter, 27, has averaged 20.8 points per game with 4.6 rebounds per game. She was named WNBA Player of the Month for July.  Continue...

WNBA betting: Washington Mystics at Atlanta Dream

    By  Paul Cassius

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The Washington Mystics and the Atlanta Dream square off in a regular season game with postseason implications. This is an important game for Washington. Their goal is to have back-to-back playoff seasons for the first time in their history. To get there, they need to win some games they shouldn’t – like this one. Atlanta has been one of the strongest teams in the Eastern Conference. The Mystics were mired in semi-slump until they broke out of it Friday night with a win over first-place Indiana 77-73. Knocking of the second-place team in the East would make for a season-changing 1-2 punch for the Mystics.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Tulsa Shock at Washington Mystics

    By  Paul Cassius

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: Washington hosts Tulsa in a matchup between one team – Washington – looking to better its position in the Eastern Conference as the playoffs near, and another team – Tulsa – stuck in the middle of a disastrous season. Washington – a team that slipped into the playoffs in 2009, despite a 16-18 record – has never finished better than third place since joining the WNBA in 1998. As we enter the final month of the 2010 regular season, the Mystics (14-10) have a chance to break that curse. To do so, Washington must show it can win games against inferior opponents like Tulsa.  Continue...

WNBA wagering: Seattle Storm at Minnesota Lynx

    By  Paul Cassius

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The Seattle Storm roll into Minneapolis with the league’s best record (22-2) and a mathematical lock on the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Don’t expect them to take it easy. They face a Lynx team that’s dropped five in a row and has the second-worst record in the league (7-16). Unlike some teams around the WNBA, Seattle isn’t an inconsistent, streaky team prone to problem games against weak opponents. In 2010, this team has taken care of business from end to end.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Indiana Fever at Atlanta Dream

    By  Paul Cassius

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: Indiana visits Atlanta in a battle pitting the Eastern Conference's first- and second-place teams. Indiana – one season removed from its first WNBA Finals, where it fell to Phoenix in five games – rolls into Georgia with a 5-1 record in its past six games. The Fever currently sit atop the conference – but not by much. Meanwhile, Atlanta is shaking off the effects of a troubling, four-game road losing streak earlier this month. With two consecutive wins since then, the Fever appear back on track as we head into the regular season’s pivotal, final month.  Continue...

  • BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The Connecticut Sun travel across the country to take on the WNBA’s most complete team, the Seattle Storm – a team that has already clinched the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs. If nothing else, it will be a good measuring stick for the Sun – it may also turn out to be a whipping stick. The Storm -- with one of the best records in league history at 22-2 -- seems to have figured out the competition. They hold the record for the best start of any team in Seattle sports history. (Somewhere this evening, man-child Shawn Kemp stares out a window over lonely fields, pondering life.)  Continue...

  • BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: Chicago (12-14), the last-place team in the East, visits Phoenix (11-13), the WNBA’s defending champions and the second-place team in a mediocre Western Conference. For the Mercury, a mid-season, six-game losing streak showcased a team in search of itself. They’re turning things around of late – and that could make for an interesting run.  Continue...

Bet on the WNBA: Chicago Sky at Los Angeles Sparks

    By  Paul Cassius

BookMaker.netWNBA Betting Online: The Chicago Sky head west to meet the Los Angeles Sparks in a game that both teams need to win to stay in the playoff hunt. Chicago and Los Angeles are two teams on the postseason bubble. Chicago has spent stretches of time in the Eastern Conference cellar this season. However, in a conference where teams beat each other up nightly, the Sky’s uninspiring record is enough to keep them in the race – for now.  Continue...
